About Donovan
Donovan is Senior Vice President and Director of Construction at Genesis Capital, where he leads the Construction Department with responsibility for risk management, portfolio oversight, and borrower execution throughout the construction lifecycle. His focus is balancing disciplined risk controls with white-glove borrower support.
Prior to Genesis, Donovan was a General Contractor in California, specializing in residential and multifamily development and working alongside developers to renovate and flip more than 200 homes. He later spent six years in Miami as an owner’s representative managing luxury single-family construction and large-scale condominium capital improvement projects. Combined with nine years of experience as an HOA manager in Los Angeles, this hands-on background gives him a practical, operator-level perspective on construction risk and execution.
